Novyi Svet (New World) is one of the most known places in Crimea. Many famous Soviet movies were made here. We went there on foot from Sudak (7 km along the beautiful road) and returned by bus.
In Novyi Svet we were interested in the famous Golitsyn trail, embossed in the cliffs of mount Karaul-Oba. Entrance to the trail cost $1.5. It took us quite a long time to walk along the trail with all photo stops. The most interesting place was a huge cave of Shalyapin (a famous Russian opera singer). Interestingly, Shalyapin himself had never been there.
At Cape Kapchik we met a group of tourists. We asked them for water, as we run out of it. Hence the conclusion: Always take enough water when you are in Ukraine. This is not Germany, where you can find restaurants even on mountain tops.
On the other side of the cape is the famous King's Beach, although during our visit the road there was closed because of landslides.
On our way back to Novyi Svet we returned to a normal paved road to Cape Kapchik on the other side of mount Karaul-Oba.
On the way from Sudak we found this :)
Getting there: By bus, taxi or on foot from Sudak.
